Residential Chickens

The Borough authorizes and provides standards for keeping domesticated Chickens in Residentially Zoned properties. The approved law is intended to enable residents to responsibly keep a small number of female Chickens on a non‐commercial basis while limiting the potential adverse impacts on the surrounding neighborhood. 

There are minimum construction and design features for coops and pens (no free range), strict location requirements, and minimum maintenance responsibilities for the privilege of keeping a maximum of 6 hens.
