Enforcement Notices

Did you receive an enforcement notice like the one in the photo?

What should you do? 

• Follow the directions on the notice to bring your property into compliance; or
• File an appeal notice with the Borough Manager; or
• File a request for a hearing before the Zoning Hearing Board or Borough Council (See Applications Below)

What shouldn't you do?

• Nothing. The issue brought to your attention by the Borough isn't going away.  Ignoring it will just cause citations to be issued, including fines and possible jail time.
• Wait. Waiting until the last minute to bring your property into compliance is not recommended.  Extensions will only be granted for extraordinary circumstances.
• Yell at the Administrative Support Staff at the Borough Office.  They didn't make the rules. Or send you the notice.  Save your displeasure for the Borough Council or the author of your letter.
