Biography

Ron lives on Skyline Trail with his wife of 52 years, Pat and Miss Kitty, a rescued cat. He has two grown children, Lisa and Scott and five grandchildren, Angel, Cassie (in heaven), Caterina, Avery and Ryan.

Ron was sworn-in as Mayor in January 2014 serving his third 4 year term. He is Chairman of the Public Safety Committee, a member of the Planning Commission, Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the July 4th Planning Group. He is Chairman of the Fairfield Regional Emergency Management Agency (FREMA), President of the Adams County Boroughs Association and President of Community Media PEG Station (Channel 12) Board of Directors. He serves as Pennsylvania State Mayor Association’s Vice President of the South Central Region. He is also the editor of the PSMA Quarterly Newsletter. Ron also is the President of the Adams County Tax Collection Committee, past President of the York Adams Tax Bureau and the Carroll Valley Citizens Association. He is a professional photographer and videographer. As a thespian, he has performed in productions held at the Old Opera House in Charles Town, West Virginia, Capitol Theatre in Chambersburg, and in local Blue Ridge Theatre Guild Road Shows.   

Ron was born and raised in East Harlem, New York City. Received a Bachelor of Science degree from Pratt Institute and a Master’s of Science degree from the University of Missouri. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. Ron also teaches computer courses at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD and Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) in Gettysburg, PA.
