Carroll Valley officials have recently announced new regulations that mandate short-term rental permits for all hosts operating within the jurisdiction. These regulations are effective immediately, and all hosts renting out properties for short stays must obtain the necessary permits to comply with local regulations.

The new laws aim to enhance oversight and accountability in the short-term rental market, promoting responsible hosting practices and safeguarding the interests of both residents and guests. By requiring permits, Carroll Valley Borough can better monitor rental activity, address potential issues, and ensure that hosts meet specific safety and quality standards.

All hosts who rent their dwelling for 30 days or less, whether privately or via third-party agencies such as Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Expedia, FlipKey, TripAdvisor Rentals, Sonder, Vacasa, TurnKey Vacation Rentals, Evolve Vacation Rental, or similar, must comply with these new regulations.

Hosts are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the requirements and procedures for obtaining permits. Failure to comply with the new laws may result in penalties.
