Carroll Valley Borough is embarking on an exciting journey to create a new community park, and we want our residents to play a pivotal role in shaping its development. To ensure a diverse range of perspectives, we are calling for dedicated individuals to volunteer for the Community Park Steering Committee.

The Community Park Steering Committee will be instrumental in guiding the planning and design of our new park, fostering a space that reflects the unique needs and desires of our community. Residents who are passionate about enhancing our outdoor spaces and creating a vibrant community hub are encouraged to apply.

“We believe that community input is crucial in building a park that truly serves the needs of our residents. The Steering Committee will be the driving force behind this project, working hand-in-hand with the Borough Council,” says Borough Manager Dave Hazlett.

Residents interested in joining the committee are invited to submit a letter of interest to the Borough Manager by January 4, 2024.  The Borough Council seeks a diverse group of volunteers with various backgrounds, interests, and experiences to ensure a well-rounded representation.

The Community Park Steering Committee will be responsible for providing insights on park amenities, programming, and overall vision. This collaborative effort will create a park that becomes a central gathering place for our community, fostering connections and enhancing the quality of life in Carroll Valley.

“We believe in the power of community engagement, and the Steering Committee will be the heartbeat of this project. We invite our residents to take an active role in shaping a park that will be enjoyed by generations to come,” adds Mayor Ron Harris

Residents selected for the Community Park Steering Committee will be notified on January 10, 2024, and the committee’s first meeting will be scheduled shortly thereafter.  Carroll Valley Borough looks forward to working closely with its residents to build a park that reflects the spirit and identity of our community.
