Q: Is there electric in the Pavilion?
A: Yes.
Q: Can we bar-b-que in the Park?
A: Yes, there are a limited number of charcoal grills on the grounds.
Those renting the facility may bring their own grills.
Q: Are there any horseshoe pits or other game areas? And is the
equipment available?
A: Yes, there are horseshoe pits, Shuffle Board, Bocce Pit,
Basketball Court, Soccer Fields, Beach Volleyball Court and Softball
Field. The Shuffle Board equipment is available to borrow and there are
bases for the Softball Field. However, the softball and soccer fields
are often reserved separately; therefore, they may not be immediately
available for use.
Q: May I fish in the lakes?
A: Yes, fishing is permitted in all Carroll Valley Borough Lakes
and streams provided you have proper licenses and you remain on Borough
owned property while fishing. In Pennsylvania anyone 16 years of age and
older must have a Valid PA fishing license.
Q: May I boat on the lakes?
A: Small watercrafts are permitted on Lake Kay and Lake May.
Lake Kay has a boat ramp for convenience; however, Boats must be carried
into the water and out of the water across Borough owned property at
Lake May. All Boats and other watercraft are prohibited on Lake Carroll
located in the Common Park area. All boats must be properly registered
and licensed in PA for use on the Carroll Valley Borough Lakes.
Q: Are Power Boats permitted?
A: No. Only Electric Trolling motors are permitted.
Q: Is swimming permitted?
A: No.
Q: What time does the park close?
A: All park facilities close at dusk unless you have rented the
pavilion area.
